Daniel Barstow is co-principal investigator for the Student
and Scientist Partnership Conference. Mr. Barstow is involved in leadership
and curriculum development roles in several SSP projects, including GLOBE,
KidSat, and the Mars Education Exploration Program. Mr. Barstow's work has
had a special focus on the use of geographic visualizations in education.
He is principal investigator for Visualizing Earth and was project director
for the First National Conference on the Educational Uses of Geographic
Information Systems. He holds a master's degree in education and is the
author of the Accu-Weather Forecaster software package. Previously Mr. Barstow
was a teacher and administrator in the Hartford public schools and assistant
director of the Talcott Mountain Science Center.
